The Mission
Hope Over Harm is dedicated to combating the opioid crisis through a comprehensive approach rooted in Research, Response, and Recovery. We conduct action-driven research to uncover effective, data-informed solutions; provide rapid-response initiatives like opioid awareness and Narcan training; and support long-term recovery by empowering individuals and communities. Having made a significant impact in Appalachia, we are committed to expanding our reach to other underserved areas, always with the goal of saving lives and restoring hope.
Our Story
Hope Over Harm began when we saw a critical gap—many communities, including college campuses, lacked access to opioid education and Narcan training. What started as a response has grown into a movement focused on hands-on training, community engagement, and research that drives real-world solutions.
